Strickland House

Strickland House

Strickland House is an historic house located in Vaucluse, Sydney and was home to the second Mayor of Sydney, John Hosking. Built in in the 1850s, Strickland House is listed on both the Australian Register of the National Estate and New South Wales Heritage Register.

First Class Slate Roofing was engaged to replace the old Welsh slate roof on the barn on the grounds of Strickland House. The old barn had seen years of neglect which saw the Welsh slate roof deteriorate. We undertook the project through the NSW Government and restored the Welsh slate roof with copper gutters and downpipes and beautiful lead valleys and roll top ridge.
